Good Day

Today was a good day. We are slowly getting used to not having to milk cows twice a day. But we are finding ways to fill the time. Today we started construction on a chicken coop. We are planning on getting a few hens this spring.
The weather was wonderful too, about 45 degrees. Zachary and I went for a bike ride. We are pitifully sore after riding a couple miles, but hope to improve over the summer.
We recently bought a little Jersey heifer calf to add to our flock. She will stand out from our Holsteins. With her and the rest of our steers and heifers, they keep us occupied as well. She is a spunky one.

Isn't it amazing how there is so much to do still! Today I heard a woman say that "Nature abhors a vacuum" and fills the space. It seems in our current society (very busy) things fill, fill, fill those spaces! I am happy that so many of those things for you are wonderful!

Hah hah another little Terrorist now my Terrorist has a little cousin the Violent Princess rules!LOL. The Terrorist got a piece of bread tonight. Spoilt toad. Your baby is very very cute and saying more bottle now! She would make a great nurse cow for raising Heifers on when she's older.

Hope you guys had a nice hot bath after that ride helps with the muscle aches I reckon. Like the bikes.
